Amy Kerr
Ask Amy Kerr where your sale is up to and you’ll get the full answer, not the short version. She’s organised, emotionally invested in every campaign and, she’d like to think, has a good sense of humour. You can decide that one for yourself.
Amy came to real estate in 2021 after eight years as a medical receptionist. She loved helping people but wanted something with a bit more competition in it. The front desk left her with one habit she’s never dropped: everything organised, from her desk to her diary, so her sellers always know exactly where their campaign stands. She joined the Century 21 Novocastrian team in Charlestown in November 2026, drawn by its systems and processes and the way the office backs its agents to give clients their best.
Amy bought her own home in Elermore Vale and is renovating it now, so she knows how buyers think because she’s been one. She knows what catches their eye at an open home, what gives them pause and what makes them ready to commit. For her sellers, that means a campaign pitched at the people most likely to buy, and an agent who understands exactly what’s happening on the other side of the negotiation.
Amy doesn’t shy away from a tough conversation, either. If the price needs a rethink or a campaign needs a change of direction, she’ll tell you straight, explain why, and then get on with getting the job done. Caring about her clients is exactly why she won’t tell them only what they want to hear.
She’s proud to be a woman in real estate sales, a part of the industry that has traditionally been led by men. She listens closely, reads the room well and never mistakes being kind for being soft. At the negotiating table, that combination works.
Amy grew up in Armidale around horses, farms and the odd rodeo, and has called Newcastle home for more than seven years. Most Saturdays are open homes. When they aren’t, you’ll find her with a coffee at Cafe Napoleon in Warners Bay or The Beehive in Newcastle, alongside her dogs, who have their own order: a pup cup or a dog friendly ice cream.
Thinking about selling, or wondering what your home is worth? Have a chat with Amy. She’d love to hear from you.
