A licensed real estate agent since 2000, John opened Barry Plant Doreen-Mernda in 2011 and the office has been the leading sales agency in Doreen for majority of time since. A local resident of Doreen since 2003 and having spent the majority of his child and adulthood in Greensborough and participating in local sporting groups over the last 31 years, John has an intimate knowledge of the Diamond Valley and Whittlesea area and what it has to offer. With a long history of serving the community, John has been selling real estate throughout the Diamond Valley since 1999 with excellent success. Known to his clients as having a straight forward approach and a ‘tell it as it is’ attitude, John is highly respectful of the importance of delivering a service package that primarily keeps Vendors in control of the sale of their home and ultimately ensuring that the best possible outcome is achieved. John has spent the majority of his career involved in customer service including 10 years as a member of Victoria Police with a citation for initiative, dedication to duty and going above and beyond the call of duty. Strong work ethic and negotiation skills are attributes John brought with him to real estate and over the years has developed and tailored to real estate resulting in a very strong skill set that his Vendors have clearly benefited from over his time. Taking a lot of pride in his ethical and reliable approach, John’s customer service and negotiation skills in conjunction with his trustworthy nature, remove a lot of the barriers that normally exist between buyer and agent. This enables John to assist purchasers in moving forward with confidence and this ultimately transpires into a great result for his vendors. Having a strong track record for great results in Doreen since 2000 and a well-grounded understanding of the Doreen-Mernda marketplace and what it takes to achieve the right result, it was an obvious move for John to head up Barry Plant Doreen-Mernda from its inception in June 2011.
