Control who can bid and when
Use a job's bidding options to decide which agents may respond, how many bids may be received and when bidding closes.
Choose who can bid
- Invitation only limits access to the agents or email addresses selected for the job.
- Opportunity radius limits the job to agents within the distance set on the job.
- Without those restrictions, eligible agents may find the job through Vendorable.
- Max. bids stops additional agents from bidding after the limit is reached.
Existing bidders retain access to their bid if restrictions are tightened after they have already submitted one.
Set a bids-due date and time
- Edit the draft or published job.
- Set the bids-due date and, where available, the time of day.
- Check the displayed time zone.
- Save the job.
Agents must complete or update bids by the deadline. An owner may accept a bid before, on or after that deadline. Extending a published deadline allows bidding to continue and notifies affected bidders.
Review notified agents
Open the job's Bids area and use Notified agents to see who was notified or invited and the status associated with each agent. The list depends on the job's invitation and radius settings.
If an agent cannot bid
Check whether the deadline or maximum-bid limit has passed, whether the agent is in the invitation-only list, and whether the agent is within the job's opportunity radius. The agent must also have access to an eligible agent account and may already have a bid that should be edited instead.
